Wow, Tiki found in New Zealand bro!
We just read a report by Rotarua Daily Post that bones and tiki has been found at Lake Tarawera, New Zealand!
Wow, how cool is that! According to the report, a woman was swimming in the lake and from skeletal remains and a tiki near Otumutu Island at the end of Spencer Rod, Tarawera. On 10th June 1886 Mt Tarawera volcano erupted being the largest dome volcano eruption in New Zealand, and according to Wikipedia approximately 120 people died give or take they don’t really know the exact numbers! Whoa!
The remains will be buried on the anniversary date 10th June and the tiki will be placed in a museum.
Love to see pics, but none avail… we’ll have to keep an eye out.
Vintage and Retro loves DISCOVERY of Tiki!
